Beneath the surface is a root system of the inner life we carry. The branches are the expression of those roots on the surface.
Branches bear the fruit of the decisions we have made and the values we cultivate. Faith, belief and trust is the life force which flows into those roots. Now, the roots are not faith, but rather it is the life force that is faith and produces beautiful fragrant fruit in the branches. That life is founded in Jesus Christ.
We are connected in ourselves in that we are whole as individuals and bear fruit that expresses itself in peace, patience, kindness, fun etc despite any challenges we may face.
We are also connected with others in community in a network of friendship and collaboration.
